The Great Shoe Off

My love for shoes has not gone unnoticed. Apparently I'm not the only shoewhore in the blogging universe. Doreen Orion, Polly Kahl, and Robin Altman are having a Shoe Off. They each believe their shoes are the best and most stylish. They've seen my shoe posts and believe I'm an easy mark. They throw around names like Prada - starts with P like pooh!

Fie on them! I searched through my vast shoe collection and pulled a few meager entries for the shoe off.
You've met Vivian before. Red, comfortable and sexy. Did I say red? Sofft Shoe.
Don't know the name so we'll just call them black and hot! Alfani!
Sexy, silver sandals. And they're comfortable. Believe it or not - Naturalizers.
This pair makes everyone take notice. Nice straw look with a cute little flower. One of the least comfortable pair I've ever worn - but very sexy! What's a little pain? Lifestyle.
My newest babies - Charis. Comfortable, lightweight and yummy. Sofft.
Yes, I know we're only supposed to do 5 pairs, but I have so many great shoes it seemed only appropriate to throw in one more. Unnamed, comfortable, stylish. Ann Klein.
Take that, Doreen, Robin and Polly! Anyone out there brave enough to challenge me?

Wonderful shoes. Yet I am annoyed by the fact that most of them look really comfortable. That's playing dirty, Anti.

I could fall in love with you just by looking at your choice of shoes. :-)

Very nice collection. Looking at my clunkers, I feel a tad jealous. You have definitely showed your style and more!

Hey Anti-wife, your shoe collection is awesome. It's sad to say, but my entries would beat yours into submission--not becasue they're better than yours but just bigger!!! I can't imagine being able to wear so many pretty shoes--do you wear them all the time????? My are clodhoppery, cloggy, kind of...

Very worthy entries, but winners? I think not.

Although, one thing I've learned so far in "The Great Shoe Off" is that while we can be objective about many things (including or perhaps especially our husbands), none of us can be objective about our pets, kids... or shoes.

Anyone else want to join? Warning -I got more Italian ringers in my closet...

Robin,
Where in the rules does it say we have to play clean? I certainly didn't read that anywhere and would have ignored it if I had! And, except for the little straw looking pair with the flower - which I only wear when I'm going to be doing lots of sitting, they are all quite comfortable.

Tree,
If men were that easy, I would have been married 10 times by now.

Barrie,
You are a woman of impecable taste and my new BFF.

WriterkatPatt,
Shoes are good for the soul! There are pretty, sexy and comfortable shoes available now. Every woman should have a few pairs. Go forth and purchase!

Patti,
Bring em on! I have some ringers left in my closet!

Polly,
You, at least, are gracious in defeat. I liked your entries too. Very original!

Kathie,
Polly and I both have big feet. That doesn't mean you have to wear clodhoppers. In the last few years they've started making shoes for big feet that don't look like shoeboxes - and they're comfortable.

Doreen,
You have Italian bells in your closet? How peculiar!
:)

All those shoes and not one set suitable for walking in mud or hiking in the woods . . . .

Your shoes would have been right at home in Houston, where I was last night. The females there are dressed much more agressively than the ones back where I'm from.

John,
I have no shortage of practical shoes - good for the rain and mud. After all, I live in Seattle! Perhaps our next Shoe Off should be for practical shoes!

Polly Kahl said...

Hey hey hey John, let's not be so hasty. Did you see my green and grey steel tipped boots from my 4/30 entry? They are great for hiking, mudfights, and kicking all kinds of mean ass. I bet they'd even intimidate those agressive Houston gals.

Oh, Anti....I decided to play some more. Come over to Shrinkrap and visit sometime.

Robin,
Not bad. What else ya got?

Great collection. I especially love me that silver Naturalizer.

I had a black pair - the sexiest ev-ah - that I'm sure would have sent Patti running for cover but sadly, it is no more. I'd buy the same shoe again if I could find it.

AW, I think the cute tree is sweet-talking ya. You watch out!

I lust after that second pair.
