Health update

Thank you to everyone who has e-mailed and commented asking about my health. I am well on the road to recovery, but it's a steeper road than usual. Normally, recovery is a quick process for me. This time it seems to be taking forever. My strength is finally returning along with my appetite, but soft foods still go down best because of the swelling in my throat. Stamina is an issue and the desire to nap several times a day is beginning to subside. Headaches, numbness and random pains plague me, but at least they aren't the same or as intense as before the surgery.

Forgive the irregular blogging and know that your thoughts and jokes have helped tremendously. I hope to be shoe shopping again soon!

Sending positive thoughts and prayers on your recovery.

On a shoe note, I have to say you inspired me to explore the wonderful world of Sofft. I bought my first two pairs yesterday and could hardly wait to tell you!

Those times when your body insists you need a nap are one of the ways your system forces you to rest in order to recover. Take advantage of those naps every chance you get!

I'm glad the surgery went well. Sorry I have no good jokes to tell but hopefully you have some good DVDs to rent & will enjoy the positive parts of recovery, although I'm sure that's hard when you still don't feel well.

Feel better!

Feel better, Anti! I miss our shoe wars. Remember, you look cute in a collar. Take solace in that.

I know what you mean about it taking longer to heal: I had a frozen shoulder that took me a good two years. When I was in my twenties and thirties, my shoulder would've been better in a matter of weeks at the longest.

And you definitely look better in a cervical collar than I do!

Hey there anti-wife. Thinking about you and hope you're even better today! TAke it easy on yourself, there's no rushing a person's body. Just let it heal.

Thanks for all the wonderful and positive comments. I really appreciate them all. Definitely feeling better, but it's taking a lot longer than I anticipated.

Glad you're back to blogging! Keep doing what you're doing and you'll heal. Last year, I never thought I'd be able to raise my left arm again. Now, I sometimes forget which side I injured.
