There's no place like home!
12/21/07 - I came home to a mountain of mail, papers and laundry and to work to a mountain of paperwork and projects that - of course - couldn't be completed by anyone but me. Oh, well - it's nice to feel necessary. As soon as I dig out from under all the piles and download my pictures I'll tell you about the trip. Basically, it was wonderful.
I did have one epiphany: I don't dislike my mother because of who she is, but because she wasn't who I wanted her to be. Will explain later.

A happy Christmas, AW.
Welcome back! Hope you had a nice time. How did the pup do while you were gone?
Bernita,
A very happy Christmas to you to!
Josephine,
Thanks! It's good to be home although I now have a nasty cold, acquired no doubt from all the people coughing and hacking on all the planes I've taken in the last week.
Belle seemed to do fine. The vets office said she had some diarrhea, but otherwise was okay. She was almost as glad to see me as I was to see her. There's truly nothing better than sleeping in your own bed. There's no place like home!
I know exactly what that last statement means!
Merry Christmas! I hope you have a wonderful holiday season.
Peace,
E
Peace, AW.
Absolutely no place like home. Looking forward to reading about your epiphany.
Have a great Christmas, and all the best for the new year.
Merry Christmas, AW. And welcome home.
Glad to have you back!
While I know how good it is to come back to your own bed, I'm longing for the adventure of travel, and so is my husband. We have to grit our teeth and bear the cozy domesticity of our current arrangements, knowing it is for the best. But oh, the lure of the road...
Sorry about your cold, but I have one too and I haven't been on a plane in ages!
