Answers to Demon's and Bookfraud's questions

AW, I love the Minnie pic! :*) Hmmm, question. What genre(s) do you write in? Why? What do you do for fun?

being interrupted is my major A-No. 1 pet peeve. it drives me batty. all i do is stew in anger when it happens, so my question to you is: what is a snappy reply to someone who constantly interrupts me?

Demon,

I’m in the cozy mystery category because that’s what I love to read the most. Since I was a kid, it’s always been my favorite genre.

For fun, play with my friends, garden, read, shop – just about anything that strikes my fancy. I’m pretty easy to amuse.

Bookfraud,

I’m not patient with rude people. I tend to glare at them until they’re finished interrupting me then say something like, “Do you think you could let me finish my thought before you interrupt me again?” or, “Now that we know your thoughts, do you mind if I finish telling you mine?” You’d be amazed at how many people don’t get it.

Anyone else have better comebacks? We’d all love to know what to say to these a@%holes.

Any other questions?

Me and my family are going back to Disney World the day after Christmas. Ever been there that time of year? If so Is it horrible crowded. THe two times we've gone before were in late April, early May.

Travis,
It will definitely be crowded, but not unmanageable. The parks close earlier during that time of year and the nights can be pretty chilly, so make your plans accordingly and take lots of layers.

AW, I seem to have missed the opportunity to bombard you with questions... I'll have to page back and see where that started :-)

As far as an answer to rude people who interrupt me, I let them finish their (often extravagent and long winded) statements and respond by acting as if we're having a completely different conversation...

For instance, they finish up a diatribe on their success in refinancing their home and I might say:

Yeah, and my stylist gave me the best conditioner I've ever used to get rid of split ends, I'll write down the name for you...

(I like those kinds of comments best because it gives the impression that they need to do something with their hair / clothes / whatever little silly thing I implied - offering breath mints is a good one too... but the abrupt change like that also leaves them with the feeling that they weren't being listened to - sometimes they get it, often they don't... doesn't really matter, it's mostly to amuse myself.)

Oh, my anti-wife...it's good to be back at your site, checking into your sassy world! I like your "I'm an indpendent" poster...I was one until the primary suddenly has some weight in PA. I'll switch back afterward...boy did it feel weird to peg myself as a Democrat even though my world view is so much closer to them than the anti-dem group...very weird.

Merry,
Love your suggestions. If you can't convince em, confuse em.
